From Trip Advisor:
“The best there is!!!”We’ve been staying at the Lexington-Trapper in Jackson Hole Wyoming for over 20 years. It’s now a family affair, grandparents, parents, and grandchildren. It’s within easy walking distance from the town square. Everything from it’s maintenance to management is superb. We never hesitate to recommend it to our many friends who frequent Jackson each summer. It’s truly our “home away from home” -Gary and Irene Swensen-Salt Lake City, Utah, Jan 17, 2011
“Great time at The Lexington!”
We stayed at The Lexington during our honeymoon in Jackson Hole. The location of this hotel can not be beat! One block of the town square. Walking distance to restaurants, shops, museums, art galleries, the visitor’s center, and more! The management at this hotel treated us very well and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were very comfortable during our stay and even played chess in the lobby next to the fireplace almost every night! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Coffee, hot chocolate, lemonade, and an assortment of teas were always available along with chocolate chip cookies! Breakfast was also great. Oatmeal, waffles, fresh fruit, ham & cheese croissants, and biscuits with sausage gravy were some of the things served during our stay. -Globetrotter-Guru from Sugarland, Texas, Jan 14, 2011
“Property exceeded my personal standards”
This was the second time that I have stayed at the Lexington in the past two months. My personal requirements for an acceptable lodging include:
- External appearance.
- Location and proximity to shopping, dining and attractions
- Parking convenience and security of area
- Professionalism and friendliness of staff
- Cleanliness of room and its conveniences (i.e. coffee maker, microwave, fridge, phones, etc.)
- Favorable relationship between price and value received
Without belaboring the point, after many years of both business and pleasure travel, my personal requirements are high. The Lexington at Jackson Hole exceeded my personal requirements in each of the above categories. The property is well represented by its website and my visit found everything ‘as advertised’. The town of Jackson has many, many choices for lodging. I have stayed in a number of them and, regardless of price, none provided as an enjoyable and relaxing experience as the Lexington. The highest compliment for a property is to recommend it to friends……….in this regard, I have done so a number of times. -Victordog, Nov 23, 2010
“Couldn’t ask for more – the perfect ski vacation package from Trapper Inn”
After searching high and low for a nice (and economical) “ski package” to Jackson Hole, we couldn’t pass up what The Trapper Inn offered. We were able to get our room, ski passes and bus passes all from The Trapper Inn, and it worked out perfectly. It surpassed every expectation we had. You definitely don’t need to rent a car if you are staying at this hotel b/c it is so close to the town square and b/c the bus system is so easy to figure out. The staff was incredibly friendly and wanted to our stay to be the best (especially George!). They even gave us a free upgrade to a suite due to construction (which we never actually heard). The photos of the pool and hot tub don’t do it justice. We loved getting into the clean and nice (though small) pools after a day of skiing. We ate breakfast at the hotel every morning, and everything was always clean, hot and fully stocked. We would highly recommend this hotel (especially if you want a great ski package) to anyone, and we hope we are able to return one day! -mtg2, Louisville, KY, Mar 24, 2009
“Great Location, Great Place”
We stayed at the Trapper Inn last summer and it was perfect for our family of four (two young teens). We stayed in one of their newly remodeled suites and while it was pricey, it was big enough for all of us to stay together and be very comfortable. It decorate very nicely and lines and bathroom make the room feel like it is new. The location was perfect. Only about a five minute walk to the Town square, it was close enough so that our kids could walk around town and have fun without us having to worry about how they were going to get back to the room. We also went on a river trip and the company we went with, Dave Hansen Whitewater and Scenic River Trips, was located just a short walk down the street. We also walked to Snow King Mountain, which is very close to the Trapper as well. All and all, we are thinking about coming back to Jackson this summer so we could spend more time there (we only spent a few days last year) and would definitely stay at the Trapper Inn again. -Coolhandluke162, Jan 29, 2009
“Best Hotel in Jackson Hole!”
“The Trapper was great. Great location, hotel staff, breakfast, and rooms. The huge hot tub and heated pool was perfect after a day on the hill. I will not stay any where else in Jackson but the Trapper.” -Scott S from Clermont, FL, Posted: 11-Feb-09
Had a fabulous stay! Great location…the room was inviting, spacious and clean…and the staff was top notch. Housekeeping was exceptional. The hotel offered a convenience for me to ship out my spotting scope, etc…that was important to me. Enjoyed a wonderful float trip down the Snake River with Solitude Float Trips…Morgan was a great guide. Fantastic time of the year for wildlife viewing, we saw many elk, moose, bison calving…that was awesome. Also saw 3 grizzlies – 2 in Yellowstone the other at Oxbow Bend. Have just been home a day and I am planning a September 2009 trip…and yes I will stay at the Trapper Inn. Thanks Trapper Inn!!! -Deb F from Millington, MD, Posted 19-May-09
From Frommer’s:
Just 2 short blocks from Town Square, the Trapper Inn was reborn as a slick hotel when it opened 36 new rooms in a pair of attractive “mountain contemporary” buildings in 2006. The rooms are stylish and spacious — the newest are all suites that adjoin, with a kitchen in every other unit — and the employees here are some of the most helpful you’ll find in Jackson. From Fodor’s:
This motel is within walking distance of Town Square and has some of the best-appointed rooms in Jackson… Downstairs you’ll find an open reception desk with friendly and helpful staff, free coffee, plenty of tall windows, ample sitting space, free Wi-Fi, a stone fireplace, and vintage trapper gear big enough to snare a grizzly. From Expedia:

“Will be back”
This hotel was perfect for our fun-in-the-snow vacation. The location was right off the SMART (public bus) stop which took us to the Jackson Hole Ski Resort in about 30 minutes. We could even buy our bus tickets at our hotel. Good clean rooms, the only drawback being that this hotel has multiple buildings so you have to walk outside between the room, breakfast and pool/hot tub. -Matt M from Chicago, IL, Posted: 14-Jan-09
