JACKSON HOLE, WY  – Since 2010, the Lexington at Jackson Hole has won Vantage Hospitality’s top awards at the hotel company’s annual conference.  For two consecutive years, the hotel was awarded “Best Consistent Guest Experience,” and last year it received “Best Overall Experience.”  However, this year, the Lexington at Jackson Hole received the pinnacle Beata Spirit Award at Vantage’s Gala Award Night, December 7, at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

This annual spirit award is given in memory of Beata Rafacz, who passed away in 2004.  She was the daughter of hotel owners Ted and Jolanta Rafacz.  This award honors an all-encompassing spirit, in the way a person shows his or her love of live, family, community, and the industry.  A “good soul” who strives to create a heartwarming atmosphere for all with whom they come into contact, who gives selflessly to make life better for others as Beata did.

“While we take great pride in recognizing our top properties for their overall performance, the Beata Spirit Award is very special because it recognizes individuals for their outstanding character and contribution to their communities,” said Bill Hanley, group president of Lexington by Vantage.  “We encourage our hotel owners to be both good business owners and stewards of their communities. Not only is the Lexington at Jackson Hole one of our top properties, but Diana, Tim, Ed and the entire staff are a pleasure to work with and probably the nicest group of people I have ever met.”

Owners, Diana and Tim Waycott are very active with the local ski club, youth athletics, the art association, as well as the National Museum of Wildlife Art.  General Manager, Ed Krajsky, has worked for years inside both Yellowstone and Teton National Parks. Many local students depend on him as a mentor and he often tutors students in the breakfast area of the hotel. He is also an active member of the local Rotary lunch club, and sits on the Rotary Foundation Board and the student scholarship committee.

Vantage Hospitality Group is the parent company of the Lexington by Vantage and Americas Best Value Inn hotel brands and the Waycotts have been with Vantage since the company launched its first brand in 1999.  Today, Vantage is the eighth largest and fastest growing hotel company with over 1,000 properties throughout the world.

“Diana and Tim started with us years ago as an Americas Best Value Inn and re-branded to Lexington when we launched the midscale brand several years ago.  Their input has made an strong impact on the direction of the Lexington brand and we are honored to recognize such loyal and generous owners,” said Hanley.
