Leif Huot

Front Desk Team

Leif (小雷)Huotwas born and raised here (mostly outdoors) in Jackson Hole, Wyoming when The Lexington was the Trapper Motel. After graduating from Jackson Hole Community School in 2012, he flipped a coin and somehow wound up at Quest University in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada (sandwiched between Whistler and Vancouver) where he studied a multitude of topics (one course per month, Bachelor of Liberal Arts & Sciences) and became nearly fluentin Mandarin Chinese. Upon graduation in 2016 he subsequently returned to his beloved hometown. He is delighted to be working now at the Lexington where he entertains guests with obscure opinion-based facts on Jackson local lore. In his limited free time he is an avid reader, Chinese transnational film enthusiast, decent watercolorist, celebrated multi-instrumentalist, esteemed classical/jazz/non-western music composer, abstract polyglot poet, unicylingukuleleist, amateur photographer, outdoor adventurer, and dedicated husband.他会说普通话还是山东话。

After my 1st mid-life crisis I moved to the Jackson area in 1992, (of course for the skiing)leaving my origin home, Baltimore, Maryland. Like so many others my plan was to stay in Jackson no more than a couple months. My First job was working for Flagg Ranch where I found a passion working in the hospitality industry, and the rest is history. From there I relocated to Key West, Fl for 6 years managing a small Bed & Breakfast but somehow always managing to find my way back to Jackson Hole. When I returned I was working at another fine hotel when I was asked if I would relocate to Bishop, CA. to manage The Creekside Inn, I remained in Bishop for 3-4 years but once again returned Jackson. By now I’m on my 2nd mid-life crisis and find I wanted to experience various other positions in hospitably i.e. bartender, waiter etc., after a year or so I was asked to manage The Flying Saddle Resort located in Alpine, WY in Star Valley South of Jackson. I remained there for one of my longest stilts 6+ years. Eventually accepting the Group Sales position at The Lexington at Jackson Hole.

Growing up in Southern California allowed me the opportunity to spend much of my time outdoors. And as a youngster, I was fortunate enough to be able to participate in the Boy Scouts of America taking monthly camping excursions. When not on trips with family or with the troop, I was always outside on my skateboard, BMX bicycle, climbing, surfing, or playing volleyball at the beach. You could say that it was hard to keep me indoors at all. After serving in the United States Navy as a mechanical engineer stationed in Little Creek, VA, and deployed in the Caribbean and Mediterranean seas for much of that time, I returned to Los Angeles to study Economics at California State University in Long Beach. I worked in several fields from operations management at a major retailer, commercial banking, investment banking, and then merchandising project management in the packaging industry, I pursued self-employment as a wellness advisor. My studies as an advisor of health and wellness brought me to the conclusion that living as close to nature as possible is the best way for human beings to live. So my wife and I sold most our possessions, to find work in our National Parks. We spent our first summer in Glacier National Park serving as volunteers in Bear Management. Since the majority of the park is closed during the winter months, we had to find employment elsewhere until much of the wildlife comes out of hibernation again in the spring. We serendipitously found our way to Jackson Hole and have been more than excited to discover this wonderful area. I spend most of my days off hiking in the Tetons, snowboarding at the resort, shooting my recurve bow at the local outfitters, letting go of the day at the yoga studio, then ending the day either cooking from scratch at home or enjoying one of the many great eateries that the town has to offer.

Was born on a hoary night when men struggled to keep their fires lit and their cabins warm. Originally from a small farm town in southwestern Ohio he enjoys traveling, camping, reading, playing the mandolin, older whiskey and faster horses. LeRoy is pictured here with a long lost relative of the Jambon family, Sir Oinks-A-Lot of Bratislava, Slovakia.

I have recently graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Anthropology and have not used my degree since. I am originally from Salt Lake City, UT and moved back after graduation. I then spent as much time in the mountains and on skis as possible. Working both in a ski shop and as a ski instructor at Brighton Ski Resort, that was made easy. Near the end of the season, I came up to Jackson to catch the tail end of the ski season and loved it! I am now here working at the Lexington for the summer but have been told on multiple occasions that I fall in love with it and stay. We will see!

At the Lexington at Jackson Hole our amazing housekeeping team works around the clock to make sure everything is in top condition at all times. Proving our dedication to providing guests with great service by receiving top awards every year since 2010

Growing up in southern California, soccer has always been a passion of mine. I attended CSU Chico, studying Civil Engineering and Geography. After college, I stayed in Chico working in the field until I left for a one year journey through South America. Upon returning, I find myself in Jackson to work at the Lexington for the summer. In my free time, you may find me exploring, camping, and getting to know Jackson.

I was born and raised in Jackson Hole, I have recently moved to Colorado to peruse hotel management at Colorado State University. I am a ski bum at heart and love the outdoors. I plan on moving back to Jackson Hole after school to run the family hotel.

Ed Krajsky

General Manager

I moved to the Jackson area in 1978 from Florida for a summer job and never left. I have worked for years inside both Yellowstone and Teton National Parks and I can give you a lot of ideas on nice hikes. My wife and I love Jackson Hole and the surrounding areas. And now that our son is in college and we are not driving all over the west for hockey games, we have more time to explore again. I love to sea kayak, hike, bike ride and climb when I get the chance to do it.

Adena Chernosky

Operations Manager

I began working for Tim & Diana Waycott in 2002 as a front desk agent at what was then known as the Trapper Inn. As the company grew, I took on more responsibility, and am now the Operations Manager. Originally from Pennsylvania, I learned to snowboard at Stratton, Vermont before moving “out west” to conquer bigger mountains. I spent two years in Bend, Oregon, but during a visit to Jackson Hole I knew she had found a home and relocated immediately. When I’m not working at The Lexington, I’m snowboarding, reporting the snow conditions for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, blogging, playing Magic: The Gathering, podcasting, or wakeboarding. It’s a busy life, but someone has to live it!

John Sherwood

Maintenance Supervisor

I moved to Jackson in January of 2008 to attend an Avalanche Safety course as a requirement for a position as Guide at Mount Rainier. I am a U.S. Army Veteran of 14 years. I have two teenage daughters and attended The University of Kentucky’s Business Information Systems program at Hopkinsville Community College. I am also an alumnus of the NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute. When I moved here I quickly found myself so at home with the total outdoor lifestyle in Teton Valley that I stayed! From training/competing in Ironman distance Triathlon to Climbing, Skiing, Hunting and Scuba Diving; Jackson has it all. You’ll surely meet me during your visit as I am always out and about. Please allow me to help you make the most of your stay by sharing my knowledge of the area’s activities. I look forward to meeting you.

I am a second generation Californian with a love of wandering and travel that started early, as a military family we moved around every few years. From California, I moved to Washington State and graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in Technical Drama and used that for many years. A few years ago I started working at Glacier National Park and then Moved to Grand Teton National Park on the first day that I arrived it felt like home and made the promise that whenever the view of the Tetons did not send a thrill through me that I would leave and so far that has not happened. While living here I have been able to experience the area to its fullest and still learn something new each day, indulged in my love of horseback riding and watch the seasons change something that was not easy in California. Best of all is that I am no longer spending long hours in busy rush hour traffic.
